Dr Huang Xinyong
Senior Consultant Ear Nose Throat Surgeon
Dr Huang is a senior consultant ENT surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He manages all ENT conditions with a special focus on head, neck and oral cavity growths and cancers. His prior clinical appointments include senior consultant in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Changi General Hospital, where he was the Director of Head and Neck Service.

Dr Huang was previously a visiting consultant for the Head and Neck Service (ENT) to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital, helping to advance and support the Head and Neck services in these hospitals. He was the Site Chief for the SingHealth Duke-NUS Head & Neck Centre, and helmed the Department of Research in CGH. Dedicated to patient care, Dr Huang has received numerous service quality related awards in recognition of his commitment towards his patients.
Dr Huang graduated with a MBBS from NUS and obtained a Membership in the Royal College of Surgeons from Edinburgh, and a Master of Medicine in Otolaryngology (ENT). After completing his specialist training in ENT in 2012, Dr Huang went on to sub-specialise in head and neck surgery. He trained as a surgical fellow at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkou, Taiwan – one of the largest head and neck tertiary centres in Asia. In tandem with technological advancements, Dr Huang is a certified practitioner in robotic head & neck minimally invasive surgery and sialendoscopy, offering advanced and effective treatment of head and neck conditions, benefiting a significant and growing base of patients.
Dr Huang was appointed as the Assistant Professor for Duke-NUS Graduate School of Medicine and was a clinical senior lecturer in NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Dr Huang had served as a core faculty in the SingHealth ENT residency program, formulating the program for ENT surgeons. He was awarded Outstanding Faculty Award – RiSE Award (Residency in SingHealth Excels) in 2021, and is an examiner in the postgraduate ENT specialist exams.
Dr Huang has an active interest in research, having helmed the Department of Research in CGH. He is widely published in international peer-reviewed medical journals, and has been invited to present in international conferences. Actively involved in research on improving patient outcomes, Dr Huang has received research grants and awards. He is also a reviewer for multiple scientific journals including BMJ (Case Reports) and Singapore Medical Journal.
Dr Huang serves an Executive Committee member of the Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery. He is also a member of the International Sialendoscopy Society.
